Meet the Team
Checkmate has been owned and operated in Vermont by Arnold Parenti since 1985. Before owning Checkmate, Arnie worked for the company and also for Some Pest Company in New York City, so he knows the industry inside and out. In 2012, Arnie’s son-in-law, Andy Gagner, came on board making Checkmate a true family owned and operated company.  In fact, most of Checkmate’s business is generated by the satisfied customers who refer their families and friends to us. We are honored to work with wonderful clients all over the state.

Arnie and Andy are both licensed by the Vermont Department of Agriculture and their professional development is on going. Checkmate is a member of various pest control professional organizations throughout New England, New York and the East.
